A fireman who rescued a man from certain death has been nominated for a national award.
James Hallett, 44, was off duty when his car collided with another man’s vehicle on Aston Clinton roundabout near the A41 on October 5.
The collision caused the other driver’s car to flip onto the roundabout, trapping him upside down in the car.
However, Mr Hallet used his expertise to break into the car and help clear the male driver’s airways.
He also helped rescue his fellow passengers.
The Northolt fireman will discover whether he was won the CAPITA 999 award for outstanding bravery on Monday evening at the annual Flame Awards.
