Just 421 people across the whole of our MP’s constituency claim job seeker’s allowance.

The figure represents only 0.9% of the working population of the area, and shows that 224 people have found work since the figures were last taken in March.

The number of young people who are unemployed in Henley and Thame remains at 20, and MP John Howell said that the figures were good news.

He said: “This news
supports the argument that we have made all along that the only way to see rising living standards is to grow the economy.”
