A talented dog that can sniff out lost cash is using his skills to help Florence Nightingale Hospice.
Clever Jinky the greyhound has a nose for cash and has so far found two £10 notes and scores of coins on his daily walks.
As well as enjoying his retirement after a career in racing, Jinky is now helping the hospice to continue its good work.
His owner Alison Lord, said: “Jinky loves walking and sniffing for tidbits that people have dropped.
“He therefore makes frequent foraging stops, which is when I’ve noticed coins on the ground.
“I was amazed in recent windy weather, when on two occasions Jinky led me to £10 notes blown under hedges, making his total find so far over £22!”
The cash-collecting pet now has a jar for all his finds and Alison posts them to hospice volunteer Keith Glynn who makes sure the money is put to good use.
Keith said: “He’s a wonderful dog and I hope he continues to sniff out notes for the hospice.”
