A 49-year-old man has been charged with threatening a 16-year-old girl in Aylesbury’s Friars Square shopping centre.

Terence Monroe, of Park Street, Aylesbury, was arrested and charged yesterday after the incident, which happened at around 11am.

The charge relates to an incident in which a girl was approached by a man.

Mr Monroe has been charged with using threatening words/behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He has been bailed and is due to appear at Aylesbury Magistrates’ Court on February 17.
