A group of medical staff from Thame Community Hospital are embarking on a stretcher challenge tomorrow in a bid to raise money for Scannappeal.

Gill Norris, Helen Facey, Pam Bristow, Anita Clayton, Charlene Hennessey and Mary Dix – aka The Angel Medics – will tackle mental and physical challenges along the Phoenix Trail in Towersey between 9am and 2pm while carrying a stretcher with a dummy aboard.

They have raised more than £1,000 so far towards buying a new mobile breast screening unit for Bucks, based at Wycombe Hospital.

Helen said: “We don’t know what to expect because we’ve never done it before, but we’re determined ladies so we’ll finish it!”

The ladies will be competing against other teams for points, so if you want to go and support them, meet at 9.30am to cheer them on.
