After last week’s picture of the year I decided to look further back.
This is a shot that always sticks in my mind as being a favourite.
I took it back in 2006 for the Advertiser, our sister title .
The editor of the time Chris East asked me to get a wintry front page photograph.
Faced with a very foggy day and little time Coombe Hill was my destination.
I drove there in the hope that something would present itself.
As I headed up to the car park the fog cleared and it was a lovely sunny day.
I parked up and walked to the monument, I couldn’t believe my luck, Ellesborough church was visible just above the sea of fog, perfect!
I got my shots and headed back to the office to a very happy editor.
