Six plots of land in the Bucks countryside are to go under the auctioneer’s hammer later this month – and they could go very cheaply indeed.
The sites near the Wingrave crossroads just outside Aston Abbotts are among 38 lots being sold by land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.
Bidders could theoretically pick up the plots of land at Wingrave Paddock on Wingrave Road for just a few pounds and given the nil reserve that applies, the auction house is expecting strong bidding.
Auctioneer James Emson said: “The plots are just over two acres and they could be sold for anything between £50 and £2,000, it just depends on who turns up on the day.”
Mr Emson, who will be conducting the auction of the plots said there was no chance developers could build a house on the land as it would be extremely difficult to get planning permission.
He said: “In the past, people have bought plots of this sort of size just so they can say they own a bit of the countryside.
“Other people have used it as a picnic space or because they like the views and one woman even purchased some land for her husband as a Christmas present!”
The plots will go under the hammer at The Hilton Brighton Metropole in Brighton from 11am on Tuesday March 25.
