The XT Brewery at Long Crendon has brewed a special beer in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Florence Nightingale Hospice charity, which is based in Aylesbury.

The beer will be officially unveiled at the 20th Aylesbury Beer Festival which is being held at the Bucks County Council Sports and Social Club in Stoke Mandeville over this weekend (Friday October 18 and Saturday October 19).

The beer has a fruity flavour, and has been named “FN25” in support of the milestone.

The town’s mayor Tom Hunter-Watts will open the festival this evening and there will be live music from acoustic guitarist and singer Mike Bryant.

The event will be open between 6pm-11pm on Friday and 11am-11pm on Saturday and food and drink will be served throughout.

Tickets are available at a cost of £5 per person in advance or £6 on the day. These can be bought by contacting the hospice charity on 01296 429975.
