A chance to come down and help shape your town

AN event to give residents the opportunity to have their thoughts about how Thame should shape up in the future has been announced.

On the weekend of October 7, a major consultation process will take place at the Town Hall for the council to hear people’s opinions as Thame starts to draw up a Neighbourhood Plan.

There will be a mix of drop-in events, workshops and town tours with something for everybody.

The weekend is being organised by Tibbalds, the consultants appointed by the Town Council to lead the production of Thame’s plan, in partnership with staff from the council, councillors and local people.

The intention is to ‘empower’ the public to take a proactive role in shaping the future of their neighbourhood. Once in place, it will comprise the framework for change in the area for the next 20 years.

For a complete listing of what’s happening on which day visit Thame Town Council’s website, www.thametowncouncil.gov.uk, and Facebook Page for more information.
