We look back at some all too familiar stormy weather when it hit the Vale in 1957.

With the high winds and wet weather we look back to this scene at the then new headquarters of the Aylesbury Darby and Joan Club which could not stand up to the terrific storm which hit the town in 1957. The weather tore off chimney stacks, twisted TV aerials, ripped up trees and blew roofs off sheds and buildings, including the club.
