THE new landlord of a village pub is a face familiar to many of its regulars.
Adam Lawther, 32, and his wife Emma, 30, have recently returned to the area they grew up in to take over at the Green Dragon in Haddenham.
After two years running pubs in London Adam has taken the helm at the place he was the assistant manager of two years ago, when it was doing well as a thriving pub and restaurant.
The pub has in recent years struggled in difficult trading conditions. Adam now wants to put it back on the map.
He said: “I’m happy to be back and desperately want to return it to its former glory.”
Adam grew up in Bledlow Ridge and Emma has lived in Wendover most of her life.
“We want to re-establish the food element but keep it with a nice relaxed atmosphere so people can come in for a drink.
“We’ve got a new chef and will be concentrating on specials.”
