The jury has retired and is considering its verdict in the trial of an Aylesbury man accused of murdering his former landlord with a crossbow.

Russell Gill is charged with murdering Darrell Farnham, 44, at the victim’s Belgrave Road home on June 23.

Prosecutors says Mr Gill, 42, killed Mr Farnham over a £6,000 drug debt.

Mr Gill, who has admitted manslaughter but denies murder, says Mr Farnham’s death was a ‘terrible accident’.
