A popular daytime television show is coming to Aylesbury for the first time to film an episode.
Dickinson’s Real Deal, ITV’s top daytime programme, will be filming at the Waterside Theatre on Saturday January 18.
The show, presented by David Dickinson, involves members of the public taking their antiques and collectables along.
During the show a team of independent valuers offer free advice and owners have the chance to sell their items to a dealer or gamble at auction.
Mr Dickinson said: “It’s great to bring the show to Aylesbury, a place we haven’t visited before.
“I’m very much looking forward to visiting Buckinghamshire, an area of the country I love bringing the show to.
“I remember visiting the county in our last series; the items brought in were fantastic, great quality, with fabulous history and stories attached.”
The programme, back for a tenth series, is watched by over a million people. Dealers travel the country looking for interesting items brought in by members of the public.
Last time the show was in the county a bust of Wellington was sold to a dealer for £200, a book of illustrated stories went for £306 at auction and an antique perfume atomizer brought £400.
If you have items you want to sell, but only for the right price, go along to the Waterside Theatre in Exchange Street from 9am on January 18. The doors will be open until 5pm and Mr Dickinson and the team look forward to seeing as many people as possible.
Mr Dickinson said: “People of Aylesbury, come along and get the Real Deal!”
If you have any querries about the item you wish to take along you can contact the team on the Dickinson’s Real Deal hotline 0117 970 7618.
