Police want to speak to two men (pictured) after a man was left with a fractured right eye socket and a fractured jaw when he was attacked in Aylesbury.

The 51-year-old victim was walking in the underpass in Cambridge Street when he was attacked from behind by two unknown men.

They pushed him to the floor and kicked him in the head before running away.

All three men are thought to have been in Mendoza Café Bar in High Street before the incident, which happened at around 1.30am on June 16.

Investigating officer Det Con Nick Hills said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man walking along the underpass in Cambridge Street.

“We believed the offenders and the victim may have all been in the Mendoza cafe bar prior to the attack and so I would like to speak to anyone who has any information on what may have led to this offence.”

Anyone with information can contact Det Con Hills on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
