A MAN who dumped a load of rubble in Wing has been left with a hefty bill after pleading guilty to magistrates.
Kristopher Ager, of Fenny Stratford, pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Magistrates Court to dumping waste illegally.
The 26 year old dumped a load of rubble in woodland off Stewkley Road in August last year.
Aylesbury magistrates heard that on August 29 last year, rubble from a broken wall was found dumped in the woodland.
Ager admitted he had dumped the waste after trying to dispose of it lawfully at the Newport Pagnell waste site.
He said he was refused entry there as he was in a works van and he would have had to pay a disposal charge. He was unwilling to pay to dispose of the waste as he had removed it as a family favour and so took the waste away from the site.
He said he felt he had no choice but to dump illegally during his onward journey to Wing.
The magistrates fined him £400. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £1,214 and compensation to the private landowner of £495.
He also had to pay a victim surcharge of £15 which was also levied – making a total of £2,124.
