This week it is the turn of David Florent, who is the owner of the Oxford Gun Company.

What is your earliest memory?

As a treat, my sister and I used to stop and feed the ducks on a large pond in Ruislip on the way to school.

Ignore what you’re you are doing now, if you could do any job in the world what would it be and why?

Running a safari park in Africa. I have always loved Africa and would love to put my shooting and Africa together one day.

How do you relax?

Go shooting with friends.

What was the last little treat you bought for your self or someone else?

A week in the Italian Lakes for my mother and father’s anniversary.

What would be the hardest thing for you to give up?

Sadly shooting – it has taken me around the world and is a great way of meeting new people from different backgrounds.

What is the most important lesson life has taught so far?

To always give people good value for money, whether they are customers or sponsors. You should always give that little extra – always try to exceed there expectations.

What is your favourite film and why?

The Mighty Ducks, it sounds silly but it was one of the first films I ever saw.

It made me think that I could achieve whatever I wanted if I put the extra effort in.

What website do you value the most?

Fieldsportschannel.tv – I have worked very hard with this channel, I feel it is a great way to educate people in all aspects of country life.

What are your favourite local restaurants?

The Quad Bar in Oxford and the Pheasant at Brill.

What is your favourite local shop?

Oxford Shirt Company in Burford. It gets bigger every year and has got probably the best selection of clothing you will find.

Which person would you most like to meet?

Richard Branson – he is probably the most famous dyslexic and as I am dyslexic as well it would be an interesting meeting.

Why do people take an instant dislike to John Prescott?

Because it saves so much time!
