ORGANISERS say they had a ‘fantastic’ response to their Santa challenge.
More than 700 residents posed in a festive hat to raise the profile of the annual Aylesbury Festival.
Pictures were taken in the courtyard of the King’s Head pub by professional photographer Danny Higgins – who made a picture of himself (above) from everyone who took part.
Higgins has thanked everyone who took part, saying he had ‘lots of fun’.
His highlights included taking pictures of elderly gentlemen who already had long white beards, and a young family who brought their little girl so she could pose in an elf hat.
Some participants ditched the traditional red Santa hat and wore a black bah-humbug hat instead.
The two-week Aylesbury Festival in July features musicians from around the world and is entirely funded by donations.
Those having their festive picture taken were asked to pledge 1p for every person who joined in.
The project was called the Aylesbury Festive Faces campaign.
