John Bercow MP has officially opened a brand new ICT suite at Haddenham Community Junior School.

Pupils had previously been unable to have a computer to themselves but the new suite means they now can and as a result will be able to work at their own pace to ensure better progress.

The school has 33 new PCs and the latest interactive whiteboard.

There is also a new computer server running a Windows operating system, which provides access to a range of the latest software.

The suite was created over the summer holidays by converting the school’s old music room after almost a year of planning.

Headteacher Sue Lewin said: “None of this would have been possible without the planning and dedication of Katie McGovern and Andrea Fines-Allin.”

A number of people and organisations helped make the idea a reality, including the Haddenham Beer Festival Trust, which made a donation towards the costs.
