A band who have played all over the UK and recorded six albums have been announced as the latest headline act at Thame’s First Thursday Music Club.

‘As If...’, who have been together for 20 years, will play the 10pm slot at the event hosted by the James Figg pub on December 5.

Their music blends rock, prog, pop and folk and the band have teamed up from time to time with musicians from different genres.

They are made up of Phil Goss, who writes the songs and is on guitar and vocals, drummer Phil Heard, Steve Rothwell on bass and Sam Hearle on keyboard.

At the music club they will be joined by Phil Wright on fiddle.

November’s event saw 15 acts play in front of a full house.

Anyone can play on the night, they just need to sign up from 7.30pm, with music starting at 8pm.

Alternatively, go along to enjoy a night of free music.
