A Thame woman whose 10-year-old cousin died in a skiing accident is doing a skydive for a charity set up in her honour.

Abbie Bailey, of Lea Park, and three others are taking part in the daredevil leap in the hope of raising more than £2,000.

Money raised will go towards Jemima’s Gift, set up by Jemima Prees’ parents after she died in Austria in February. The charity aims to promote art and sports among children and help dyslexic students with their education.

Ms Bailey said: “We thought it would be a great thing to do to raise a lot of money for the charity.

“Jemima always had the opportunity to do lots of things and her parents wanted to help other parents be able to do the same for their children.”

Ms Bailey, her boyfriend Lee Webb, her sister Hattie and her sister’s boyfriend’s mum, Marlene Banting, are doing the skydive over Brackley on September 7.
