Get fit with a new year’s Nordic walk

THE opportunity to learn a new style of exercise is coming to Thame as part of South Oxfordshire’s GO Active project.

Four-week courses on Nordic walking are on offer at Thame Leisure Centre from January 10.

Nordic walking is hiking with specially adapted poles and offers a unique way to keep fit and enjoy the outdoors.

It can burn up to 46 per cent more calories than normal walking and reduces the pressure on joints.
