Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School headteacher Stephen Box said he was ‘thrilled’ after 99% of students achieved at least five A* to C GCSE grades.

Around 61% of the school’s results were As and A*s, and Mr Box said: “I’m really thrilled about the excellent results of the students.

“It is a fair reflection for the hard work put in from the talented students and staff.”

Michaela Chan achieved 13 A* grades, while Alice O’Neill, 16, from Edlesborough got four As, three Bs and one C.

Alice said: “I’m so happy and shocked.

“I really struggled at the beginning of the year and I didn’t think I could achieve this.

“I owe it all to the school.”

Theo Kiping, 16, from Thame achieved 10 A*s and three As.

He said: “I’m really happy and relieved with my results.

“I worked incredibly hard so I was hoping it would be alright.

“I’m especially proud of getting an A* in drama because it’s a real passion of mine.”

Sarah Bull, 16, from Haddenham got seven A*s, three As and a double A* in further maths.

She said: “I wasn’t really expecting these results, I’m so happy with them.”

Sarah will go on to study the International Baccalaureate next year.
