Raymond Blanc and a Bake Off-winning duo will cook for the crowds at this year’s Thame Food Festival.

With less than five months to go until the festival, plans are well underway to transform the town into a foodie’s paradise.

Series winner of The Great British Bake Off from 2010 Edd Kimber will team up with 2012 champ John Whaite to put on a show, answer questions and sign books on September 27.

While festival ambassador Blanc will showcase his 40-years worth of experience alongside food writer and broadcaster Sophie Grigson.

The Thatch and The James Figg will be serving locally brewed ales and ciders from a pop-up-pub and The Book House will showcase the latest cookery books.

Festival patron and TV chef Lotte Duncan said: “We’ve got some thrilling demos planned on stage as well as workshops to educate and entertain, not to mention over 150 stalls laden with incredible locally produced goodies and tempting street food to match.”
