Students at an Aylesbury school have spent the day receiving prizes from a key man behind the London Olympics

Chief commercial officer to the British Olympic Associations Hugh Chambers was the guest of honour for Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School’s annual prize giving day.

Bethany Edwards picked up the top award of best scholar while Avinash Gupta’s sporting abilities were recognised with the James Buckland Cup, named after the former Floydian who currently plays for top rugby union club London Irish.

Jodie Battrum in year 9 received the Mrs Skermer’s Shield for services to the school.

Jessica Hubery won the award for services to the library.
