Firefighters spend more than two hours battling Thame house fire

More than 20 firefighters have been tackling a house fire in Thame this afternoon.

Six fire crews were called to the scene in Chowns Close at 3.06pm and were still dealing with the blaze more than two hours later.

The fire is thought to have started on the ground floor of the property and spread.

South Central Ambulance Service attended and one patient refused treatment for smoke inhalation.

Police and fire investigators are currently working to establish the cause of the blaze.

A cordon has been put in place around the house.
