THE Thame Evergreen Club has just got back from their latest summer trip to Bitton and Bristol.
Having been going for a number of years, the club decided to do a joint trip of the towns, which was provided by the Avon Valley Railway Company.
The day included a boat trip on the river Avon in the morning and a steam rail trip in the afternoon.
Secretary L McKinley said: “We were very pleased that our president Don Butler was able to join us on this trip and he assured me that it was the best outing he had been on, as did the rest of the members.
“We would like to offer a big thank you to Arriva buses for providing a coach at a very competitive price and to Denis Mauger the driver and his wife Janet who looked after us so well.”
The organisation is aimed at bringing enjoyment and company to mainly elderly people in Thame.
