FLOODLIT open evenings return to Waddesdon Manor on Thursday, Friday and Saturday featuring live music, dancing and opera performances.
Highlights include performances from Aylesbury’s Kandeez Dance School and Cameo Opera.
There will also be clarinet quartet and singers from Aylesbury Music Centre and Aylesbury High School.
The East and Bachelors’ Wing are also open and visitors can look around and see the manor’s Christmas decorations with an Italian theme.
The front door will have olive wreaths and inside there will be Cypress trees bearing the Italian flag and terracotta pots with fragrant herbs.
Christmas trees will be decorated with Italian decorations, masks, glass and gondolas.
Leonardo de Vinci is the inspiration for the decorations in the Blue Dining Room.
For children the characters from Pinocchio will feature in the Bachelors’ wing including the Blue Fairy, Geppetto and Jiminy Cricket.
The celebrations extend beyond the house into the gardens where twinkling lights and bells will guide children on the willow reindeer trail though the woodland playground to the Stables.
