Aylesbury MP visits new technical college

Aylesbury MP David Lidington visited the town’s new Bucks University Technical College today and expressed his delight with the educational facility.

He said: “This puts Aylesbury at the forefront of a very exciting new way of providing education in this country.

“I hope that what the UTC will do is to be a key part of establishing here a system of top quality vocational training and education.

“The opportunities for young people here in Aylesbury are very exciting.”

The technical college, on Oxford Road next door to Aylesbury College, provides vocational qualifications in IT and construction to students aged 14 to 18.

Students work from 8.30am to 5pm and must be smartly dressed in suits.
