Drink driver who crashed in Thame banned for 16 months

A woman has been banned from driving after she crashed her car in Thame when she was twice the legal alcohol limit.

Trelawney Jane Hill, 47, hit a building in Thame Park Road while driving her BMW on the evening of December 14, 2012.

After the crash she gave a positive breath test of 70ug in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35ug/100ml.

Hill, of Chinnor Road, Watlington, pleaded not guilty to one count of drink driving.

However, following a trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court, which finished on August 7, she was found guilty.

Hill was disqualified from driving for 16 months, which can be reduced to 12 months if the she completes a rehabilitation course before June 2014.
