Popular folk band Amber Willow will perform for the fifth year running at The Queens Park Arts Centre to help raise money for the building’s restoration.
The group’s Summer Ceilidh takes place tonight at 8pm.
Earlier this year the centre celebrated the completion of stage one of its refurbishment – a £200,000 drive to pay for roof repairs, new signage and lighting.
Stage two will focus on internal improvements, such as the lack of storage and general feel of the centre which opened in 1980.
Folk act Amber Willow will play a mix of jigs, polkas and waltzes in traditional English, Irish, Scottish and French styles.
Organisers say individuals are welcome to attend the evening on their own.
The word Ceilidh derives from a Gaelic term, which means both ‘visit’ and ‘dance’.
