A YOUNG brother and sister are facing life without a mother and grandmother after the murders which rocked Thame last weekend.
Michala Gol, 28, and her mother Julie Sahin, 50, were stabbed to death in their house in Ireton Court in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Michala’s husband, 21-year-old Ensar Gol, was arrested in the town centre shortly afterwards and was charged at Oxfordshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Gol stands accused of double murder and the attempted murder of Casey Wilson, 19, a friend of his wife’s family. She is currently recovering in hospital.
A post mortem examination has shown that the two women died from stab wounds.
Michala and her mother lived in the house with her two children a girl aged three and an 18-month-old boy. It is thought that Ensar may have recently moved in and had been living there.
A neighbour, who would prefer not to be named, said Michala would often be seen walking with the children to the park and around town.
The brothers of Julie Sahin nee Anderson, and the uncles of Michala Gol nee Burgess-Hall, have released the following tribute: “We have had our sister and niece cruelly and tragically taken away from us.
“They were much loved and will always have a place in our hearts. At the moment we would like to be left alone to deal with our loss.”
The neighbour said: “It is such a tragedy, this is such a quiet area with a strong community.
“I didn’t know the family very well as they hadn’t been living there for very long.
“The saddest thing is that now there are two young children without a mother or grandmother.”
