Four new neighbourhood offices are to be opened in Aylesbury by Thames Valley Police are part of changes to the force’s estate.

The proposed sites will be drop-in offices, with officers still based out of the Wendover Road station.

Police are looking at a number of different locations for the proposed offices and it is hoped they can be in place by 2017, providing the planned schemes receive approval.

A police spokesman said: “These facilities will support our neighbourhood teams and reflect the very significant planned expansion to Aylesbury.”

The four drop-in offices are the only planned new facilities in the town, but the force is to implement changes around the Thames Valley, including moving Thame’s police station to the business park. It is hoped the changes across Bucks will save the force £300,000.

The force wants to raise £22m from the sale of stations and offices across its area.
