THE family of the two murdered Thame women have released a tribute as the man accused of killing them appears in court.
21-year-old Ensar Gol was charged with the double murder of his wife, 28-year-old Michala Gol, and his mother-in-law, 50-year-old Julie Sahin at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the house in Ireton Court at around 2am on Sunday morning where they found the bodies and Gol was arrested in the town centre shortly after.
Gol, a Turkish national, also stands accused of attempting to murder Casey Wilson, 19, who is a friend of his wife’s family. She is currently recovering in hospital.
The brothers of Julie Sahin nee Anderson, and the uncles of Michala Gol nee Burgess-Hall, released the following tribute on Tuesday afternoon:
“We have had our sister and niece cruelly and tragically taken away from us. They were much loved and will always have a place in our hearts. At the moment we would like to be left alone to deal with our loss.”
The family hope to release a longer tribute to Julie and Michala next week.
