POLICE have seized 15 identification cards and passports from underage drinkers in the past six weeks, as part of a town centre clampdown, it has been announced.
Aylesbury’s town centre team made the seizures during its Fraudulent Identification Seizure operation.
Officers say the majority of the confiscated ID cards have been driving licences, with one passport also taken.
Under a new procedure introduced by Thames Valley Police, real identification is sent to the issuing authority, while false documents are destroyed.
People trying to use identification falsely are also being visited by police.
