A MAN has been arrested and bailed for the robbery of Ernest Jones jewellers in Aylesbury.

This follows an appeal on BBC’s Crimewatch.

The man, who is aged 30, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail until March 17.

The robbery happened on October 22 last year.

Vale’s top cop Richard List said: ‘We are delighted that, following our Crimewatch appeal, there has been a great public response.

“This has led to a number of new leads and the arrest of a man in connection with this very serious and frightening offence.”
