Cow wins contest Hands Down

Farming families from across the region made their way to the annual Thame with the Vale of Aylesbury Christmas Primestock Show today (Wednesday).

The absolute best prize stock were on display at Thame Cattle Market.

Judge Miranda Brown was brought in from Horncastle in Lincolnshire to cast her expert eye over the 36 show cattle and William Newman of Farnborough in Hampshire judged the 215 show lambs.

The supreme champion was a steer Limousin called Hands Down owned by Emma Dickens of Little Horwood.
