Buckinghamshire Community Foundation has appointment The Countess Howe as its new chairman.

Lady Howe, deputy lieutenant, who has been a donor and trustee of the foundation for several years as well as a previous High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, takes over from Graham Peart.

Lady Howe said: “I am honoured and look forward to working closely with my fellow trustees and colleagues at the community foundation as well as with our donors, funders and partners.

“BCF is a unique organisation in the county, enabling grants and loans to be made to local community groups, through the generosity of local philanthropists.”
