ROBERT Secret’s popular Music In Quiet Places series of concerts returns to the Vale this week, with a performance at Brill’s Church of All Saints.

The classical music shows take place in some of the Vale’s most ‘idyllic settings’, according to Mr Secret who has been the programme’s musical director for the past 15 years. This year there are seven performances scheduled in places including Aston Abbotts and Haddenham. There will also be a show at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

The programme is designed to bring rural communities together. Before each of the church concerts there is a free guided walk around the village by a historian – which is open to everyone and not just those attending the evening concert.

On Saturday in Brill, Mr Secret will conduct the Stowe Orchestra and there will be a soprano solo by Susan Young. The show starts at 7.30pm.

> Tickets are between £8-£10.
