Preparations are underway for an exhibition on Friars Aylesbury, starting in February.

To help celebrate the tribute at the County Museum in Church Street organiser David Stopps is calling on fans to step forward.

The five-month exhibition will include 2D and 3D exhibits and a small cinema which will feature Friars members and artists talking about their memories of Friars. To create that video Mr Stopps is asking members to make an appointment at the museum on Saturday January 4 and Saturday January 11, to be videoed for 10 minutes or so.

Friars is particularly keen to hear any interesting stories related to the music club which could be anything from ‘how I met my future wife at Friars’ to how they met The Ramones in the Market Square in 1977.

Friars and the museum are also very keen to exhibit any personal Friars memorabilia particularly if they have a story attached to them. e.g. a membership card signed by Tom Petty or a piece of vintage clothing that they used to wear to Friars.
