Chinnor homes hit by burglaries

A series of burglaries and attempted burglaries have taken place in the Chinnor area.

An attempted burglary took place at a home in Lower Icknield Way on Tuesday at 1.40pm. Crooks kicked the front door to try to get in but were disturbed and got away in a silver BMW estate.

Between 11.30pm on Tuesday and 3.10am on Wednesday offenders broke into to a garage in Elm Drive by forcing the door open. It is unknown what items were stolen.

Power tools were taken from a garage in Hunters Point between 10pm on Tuesday and 8am the next day after burglars forced the door open.

A Mantis garden cultivator was stolen when thieves broke a lock on a shed in High Street, Kingston Blount. The burglary took place between 11.30pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday.

Police have asked anyone who saw anything or has any information to contact them by calling 101.
