BUDDING gardeners at Haddenham Community Junior School have been putting their skills to the test by creating their own hanging baskets.

The baskets will now be kept at Haddenham Garden Centre to allow them to grow before being returned to the school.

Kate Hawkins from the garden centre said: “The children all did really well planting up their baskets, and the standard was very high.

“You could see a lot of thought going into their choice of plants and colour schemes. It is very important to really fill every space when planting up a basket, so that you achieve that wow factor.”

Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust sponsored the competition.
