WORLD famous chef Raymond Blanc has announced he will be taking part in the Thame Food Festival in September.

He will be joined by the rest of his Le Manoir team and will be doing a book signing session as well as being involved in a cook-off.

The Frenchman, who has a house in the area, will be at the festival for the majority of the day and will be meeting and greeting members of the public.

Event organiser Sally Dorling said: “It is fantastic news, he is our best local chef and is obviously world renowned.

“He is so keen and passionate to be involved with us, it is not just a case of having a celebrity come down, it is a person who is passionate about all the issues the team are working for.

“He will bring not only a world famous name to the festival but he will be heavily involved with all that is going on.”

Mark Peregrine will be part of the Le Manoir team and will be preparing a three course meal for two in 40 minutes.

Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons will also be offering a prize of a voucher for The Raymond Blanc Cookery School worth £375 which will be raffled on the day.

Lotte Duncan completes the celebrity line-up and will be a patron. She said: “Last year was great, but this year looks as if it’s going to be even tastier.”
