The Great British Bake Off event in Thame was a huge success, whetting everyone’s appetite for the upcoming Food and Literary Festivals.
The event, held at Thame Town Hall, saw Sophie Grigson give demonstrations from her new book and Lotte Duncan interview the first-ever winner of the Great British Bake Off Edd Kimber.
Around 70 people attended.
Owner of The Bookhouse, Brian Pattinson, who helped organise the event, said it was a ‘well-attended, well enjoyed occasion’.
He said: “Sophie Grigson cooked three different dishes, which she invited members of the audience to come up and sample.
“A lot of fun was had by all who attended. We were also there selling books – and managed to sell 50!
“This event of course was building up to the Thame Food Festival and the Literary Festival, and certainly whet everyone’s appetite for them. It really couldn’t have been more perfect.”
