An Aylesbury man who went on the rampage in his car and assaulted three police officers has been jailed.

Joby Wells, of Highbridge Road, changed his plea at his trial after initially denying all charges and was sentenced to 18 months in prison by a judge at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday.

The 30 year old assaulted three police officers at Berryfield Farm, near Quarrendon, as they tried to arrest him.

During his motoring rampage Wells damaged a police vehicle in Buckingham Street and drove dangerously in Buckingham Street and Broadfields,

He also failed to stop when ordered to by a police officer at Berryfield Farm and refused to take a breathalyser test at Aylesbury Police Station.

All the charges relate to incidents on November 25 last year.
