Music fans can remember some of the highlights of this year’s Aylesbury Festival with a special CD featuring 12 of the finest acts in the area.
This week a launch party was held in the courtyard of the Kings Head pub for the album, featuring performances from some of the bands.
Eliza Brash-Field (pictured below, left), 17, of Aylesbury, is one of the singers on the album and has also been involved in organising the festival.
She said: “It’s a mix of a lot of musicians in the Aylesbury area, with bands and solo performers from all across the Vale.
“We made it to raise awareness of the Aylesbury Festival, we thought the CD would draw people in.”
The youth wing of the festival’s organising committee contacted bands and schools in the area and invited them to submit original material for the CD.
The group also designed the CD’s artwork.
Eliza said: “We hope it will boost the popularity of the festival and get more local musicians and the community aware of the music festival that we do.”
