Arla megadairy officially opened

The largest dairy in the world - which has brought 700 jobs to the Vale officially opened today.

Arla’s giant facility by the side of the Aston Clinton bypass was opened this morning by environment secretary Owen Paterson.

The dairy processes milk supplied by 900 British farmers and is the most technologically advanced and efficient of its kind.

With the potential to process up to 240,000 litres of filtered milk an hour, the huge operation can create 1.5million bottles of the white stuff every single day.
