A FUNDAY held at Brill Sports and Social Club on Easter Friday raised more than £1500 in memory of Thame man Richard Wheeler, who tragically died from a heart-attack at Easter six years ago, aged just 31.
Events included an Easter Egg Hunt, bouncy castles, face painting and a charity football match which saw Long Crendon beat Brill 4-2.

The money brings the running total raised since Mr Wheeler's death to £50,000, which has been donated to the British Heart Foundation, and specifically to the research of children's heart disease.

Mr Wheeler's widow, Sharon, said: "The whole event was supported very very well by the huge amount of volunteers and huge amount of Richard's friends and family.

"It was a wonderfully windy day but the crowds still came."

She added that organising fundraising events helped keep her husband's memory alive for her and their two young children, Lily 7, and Sophie, 6.

Did you enjoy yourself at the funday?
