Police in Chinnor are promising to be stricter with people who flout parking rules in the village.
Double yellow lines were painted earlier this year, following calls from the public urging the authorities to stop drivers parking along roads near the centre.
The Neighbourhood Action Group is now launching a campaign to warn people £30 fixed penalty notices will be issued to anyone stopping on double yellow lines ... and the days of friendly warnings are over.
Jackie Madden, police community support officer for the area, said: "Now we are showing people that we have put them down, it's to say that they won't be getting warnings and you will get a ticket if you park there. We are only responding to what the community wants.
"Chinnor Parish Council totally support it and are all in favour of it. We have been told that they want them enforced. I have already given one out, a couple of people have got warnings, and some have pleaded when they've seen us by their car and then it's down to our discretion, but now we will be giving the penalty.
"We asked over 500 people what their concerns were and the majority said parking. Buses couldn't passed, people couldn't get into their drives, it was inconvenient for everyone."
Roads affected are High Street, Lower Road, Keens Lane and Church Road.
