Florence Nightingale Hospice Shop in Chinnor was visited by staff and managers from John Lewis in High Wycombe as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The department store is offering to support the charity by sharing advice and expertise in retail, merchandising and staff training.

Sue Vincent, Head of Retail at the hospice, said, "The charity is excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to work alongside such an established and respected company.

"The visit highlighted the differences between working within a large company and the charity retail sector which depends entirely on the generosity of the public and the dedicated commitment of our volunteers."

The hospice has recently launched its Corporate Companions scheme, where local businesses are approached and asked to consider formally supporting them by forming an ongoing partnership.
