More than £1,000 was raised for local Outreach volunteers during a tea party at Long Crendon Baptist Church on Saturday.
Money raised will go towards the cost of an office telephone and various stationary which currently the volunteers, who care for people with special needs, do not have.

Tessa Volders, whose daughter Sophie, 30, benefits from the service, organised the fundraiser. "The carers have got an absolute heart of gold and they provide such an invaluable service," she said. "It is a fantastic cause to get involved with.

"A lot of people in Long Crendon joined in, making the teas, decorating the tables and arranging the flowers," she added. "We had about seventy people turn up, including a lovely old boy called Bernie who played the electric guitar."
